JBL GmbH & Co. KG was founded 1960 in Ludwigshafen Germany. Joachim Böhme started his business by developing remedies for tropical fish diseases. Nowadays it has 160 employees and its products are well known all around the world. The company is situated today in Neuhofen.

JBL Novo Prawn

This product is one of the favorite meals for Neocaridina species. It contains 20% of stinging nettle and 5% of Spirulina. High content of cellulose helps to build up chitin shell. JBL Novo Prawn is very solid structured food.

VARIETIES AND PRICE LEVEL:
Is sold in three different cans: 100 ml (58 g/4-5 €) with or without dispenser and 250 ml (7-8€).

APPETITE:
Very good. Shrimps, fish and snails readily accept this.

Plankton Pur

In 2013 JBL launched a whole new series of "fresh fish food". Plankton Pur is made of Norwegian zooplankton with no preservatives.

INGREDIENTS:
Zooplankton (crustaceans and molluscs) with high moisture content of 80-90%.

NUTRITIONAL VALUES:
30 mg/g omega 3 and 6 fatty acids
20 mg/kg natural astaxanthin (vital for color development)

VARIETIES AND PRICE LEVEL:
Is sold in two different sized boxes: 8*2g and 8*5g. Prices are about 7 and 11 euros respectively.
Two varieties: Size S and Size M. S = 0,2-0,5mm and M = 2mm.

APPETITE:
Good especially when feeding fish fry with size S Plankton Pur.

SINKING SPEED:
It is recommended to disperse this food in water. This makes Plankton Pur slowly sinking.

One stick is said to be enough for 250 liters aquarium.

This is 5 g portion of Plankton Pur S equivalent to one tea spoon.
